Life can sometimes throw you unexpected curve balls but even through the difficult times everyone has things to be thankful for. Being able to identify these things can be challenging but when you realise how good your life is you can learn to live a truly positive life. Today I want to talk about the things I’m thankful for …

Living a positive life is so important to leading a happy one. You know all those cliche phases, like “Every cloud has a silver lining”, “You have to look through the rain to see the rainbow”, “Everything happens for a reason” or my all time favourite … “It’s not the number of breaths we take, but the number of moments that take our breath away”. Ok, I’m done with the cliches but you get my point right? They all stand for happiness and finding the good moments through the difficult times. So smile, laugh and enjoy life with the people you love.

Happiness isn’t something you experience solo through life, it’s shared with our loved ones. My best friend is now 27 weeks pregnant with a bouncing baby girl and my uncle will be tying the knot in August. Its a wonderful feeling to be able to share these life events with the people we love, never take these moments for granted as they are what make up our lives.

Not everyone is entirely happy with their career, maybe it’s because they took a wrong turn somewhere and ended up in a job that paid the bills. Right now, I’m happy with my career, I feel that I am learning new things everyday. I’ve worked hard to get to the position I’m in now, I want to keep developing my skills and myself within my role. To think, I would have never got this role if I wasn’t made redundant from my previous job that I was only “fond off”, life works in mysterious ways.

I had no idea that I would have already travelled to so many beautiful places in the world at this age. I love exploring new sights and experiencing new cultures. I constantly have wanderlust for a new city or country, especially when I follow so many inspirational travel bloggers on Instagram. Although my long term travels are over for a while it’s still an amazing feeling to share my travel stories and inspire others to venture out into the world to discover something new.

I’m so lucky to live in a society that provides so much freedom to do, say and think what I like … within reason of course. Social media has made it so easy for everyone to voice their own opinion regardless of their education or lifestyle. Having the freedom to be the person I want to be and to live the life I want to live is a wonderful thing.

When I need to share, laugh, cry or vent, my friends are just a phone call away. I’m proud to have so many loyal friends all around the globe, each person has supported me through difficult and happy times during my life. I’ve always been told that good friendships last even if you’re not together a lot, take me as an example, I have lots of friends that I met while travelling who live all over the world. Yes I don’t keep in contact with them all but I have with my closest friends.

Your health above all else is the most important thing in life, we should all be grateful if we are in good health. Nothing else truly matters, as long as your friends and family are well. So, go to the doctors and dentists for regular check ups and keep up a healthy lifestyle.

Sincerely, Kimberly.

Loved this! You mentioned a lot of things which can easily be overlooked when we think about what we're thankful for because they became so normal to us and sometimes we don't realise how lucky we actually are. It's important to remind ourselves of these things from time to time 🙂 x

Yes, we overlook so many things because we are so focused on the future and everything we don't have to appreciate what we do have.

      Thanks for reading!

Lovely post! It definitely good think about things your grateful for, even if life isn't what you want it to be at the moment, and extra important to be grateful for the little things we often take for granted.

    Once again, loved it

Yes I believe it's important to focus on the good rather dwelling on things you can't change. Thanks for reading 🙂 xx
