Happiness is something I always love to practice in my day-to-day life. Some people say you can’t choose to be happy but my opinion is the opposite, if you think positively it shows through 🙂
I do these four things on a weekly basis to keep my happiness levels high!
1: Be Healthy
Being healthy is so important to me, I try to live a healthy lifestyle by eating clean and concentrating on fitness regularly. The expression “we are what we eat” is so true. Think about it, if your putting highly processed and sugar filled foods into your body your going to feel sluggish and run down after the sugar high goes away. Although if your putting good healthy wholesome foods into your body you will feel better. Since I’ve been eating clean I’ve got more energy and do feel like I’m happier.
2: Get Out
The easiest way to boost your happiness levels is by getting outside. Whether its going out with friends, going for a run or even taking a walk around your local area. It’s amazing what a bit of fresh air can do for your mood. When I was in Australia, I loved going to the beach and watching the waves. In England I like to walk around a lake near my house.
3: Get more “ME” time
Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in the day-to-day of going to work, taking care of family and friends that we forget to spend time on ourselves. If this happens to often you can become stressed and feel overworked because your trying so hard to please everyone else. It’s good for your health to spend that time on activities or hobbies you enjoy. For me, I like to spend my personal time writing on my blog, developing my photography skills or even going on a walk by myself to think.
4: Have ambitions and dreams
We all have them, whether its a dream of living in another country or a dream job you’ve been aiming for, having desires is important. They keep us motivated and give us something to aim for. Some of my ambitions are constantly changing but I always think of ways which they are achievable.
