I haven’t posted for a few weeks because I’ve been preparing myself for a trip of a lifetime! I’m traveling around Australia until December, then after I’m heading to China and Fiji. I was very excited for this trip, not only to see all these beautiful places but to see my lovely sister who I hadn’t seen for 5 months as she has been traveling through Asia and New Zealand.
I’m not going to lie traveling to Australia from the UK is not an easy task with 3 flights and 40 hours worth of travelling. Although I have to say it is definitely worth it. Since I’m travelling for a little while and won’t be able to purchase many new clothes as I normally do, my blog will focus on my travels and the amazing adventures I have here.
So far I have survived from living out of a rucksack, but for anyone who knows me … This won’t last! I don’t know what I’m going to do with limited clothes and accessories!?!?! This is just a sacrifice I am going to have to make to explore the world on a budget!
We went on a trip to see all the waterfalls in cairns even the one where the mysterious girl video and herbal essence adverts are filmed. Yes I did get a picture of me flipping my hair back!
THE GREAT BARRIER REEF
We had the amazing opportunity to go see the Great Barrier Reef to snorkel and scuba dive. I’ve never tried scuba diving before so I knew I had to try it and there’s no better place than the Great Barrier Reef! I was a tad disappointed when we didn’t see a giant turtle or shark because we had great viability of 10-15 meters. Although the reef is beautiful so still an experience I won’t forget! If you are heading to Australia I would defiantly have this on your list of things to do.
I have a fear of heights yet I do a sky dive?!?
My sky dive over Mission Beach has been the highlight of my trip so far. It was a very scary experience but something worth trying. It’s an experience you really cannot describe to someone. Just JUMP! 🙂 I loved it!
After the sky dive we went to Magnetic Island, where we rented this cute little topless Barbie car. It had no power steering which should give you an indication to how old the cars were!
Topless Car = Topless Picture
We got to feed some wild wallabies while we was driving around in our little car. A man who asked us if we wanted to feed them has been doing it for 13 years, 5 days a week. Now that is dedication to these cute little animals. I wanted to take one home!!
The sky was such a pretty colour when we arrived at magnetic island!
Normally at home I would never take the time to sit back and watch the sun set, but I’m glad we took the time to do it here!
The past few days have been spent sun bathing on a lagoon, now thats how all weekends should be spent! 🙂
Monday we are off to Whitsundays where you spend a few days relaxing and partying on a boat. Although I’m not too sure how well that’s going to be for me with sea sickness! This should be interesting!!!
